A Covid Poem

A girlfriend and I hade made a date. We made a date to journal and play, to color and glue throughout Saturday.

We belong to a bubble, the same one since June, and we really felt, that this was not too too soon.

To get back together, but just her and I, not in a group, though we missed them - no lie.

I was itching to pull out all stops, from all I had been buying from all of the shops.

My papers, and stamps and colors galore, would soon find their way, out of my drawers!

My new cardstock papers, like this one and this one and so many more …

Would work with these wash tape stickers and markers , more than ever before!

And then when I remembered - I almost forgot - to mention these yarns that I so long have sought!

And the icing on the cake of all of these jewels, is that my friend has just purchased a kit she could use. A kit that is meant to inspire ideas, kits that you can find, right over here.

But that’s when the poem must come to an end, because covid had hit right where she works, and ended our plans, for what they were worth.

I’m hoping if you have also had to cancel these “play” dates, that at least he pictures above will give you some creative playtime to shop and peruse the lovely new offering you might someday use. ; )
