Well I have been keeping this a secret for the longest time. In fact over a year. But now I’ve decided I want to introduce you to Abby…

Abby is the main character in a book I have been illustrating with a family member. Tony loves to write children’s books and he is very good at it. He made Abby come to life for me. Even though I have never met her, I know that Abby is the sweetest little girl and I also know that she is strong willed and she knows her own mind. You don’t want to mess with Abby! Abby, as a point of interest, just happens to be Tony’s grand daughter!

The story is about Abby and the realities she is facing when she hears she is going to have a new baby brother. As you can see, Abby is not so happy about that.

But Abby is a smart girl and as Tony tells the story, in rhyme no less, she comes to appreciate the fact, that her, and her baby brother and mommy and daddy will be one big happy family.

The story is a joy to read. It’s full of color and it is sweet and I only wish my son was still a baby so that I could read these sweet words to him.

This was a labor of love for me and a real challenge! For Tony, I believe this comes naturally for him inspired by the love he has for his grandchildren. He has more books in the works and I hope he takes me along on the journey.
