It’s been a long while since I posted here. What is new - indeed!

I have to say, I have been in a bit of funk! Have you? Covid gets to us in different ways. I find myself, in this Canadian winter, feeling isolated and cold. The weather forecast continues with warnings of cold, and snow and sleet. This combined with continued Covid fears makes me want to isolate and stay inside but it also leads to feelings of isolation and loneliness. I want spring, I want warmth, I want hope. So many crazy things in the world going on that are beyond what we can imagine. Where are you in all of this?

I spend my days with work - professional work, on zoom calls and thankfully zoom means I get to connect with real, live people. It’s still isolating working from home unless you find a way to connect. I am cheerful, pleasant and convey calm when I “meet” with my colleagues on zoom. It makes me feel better.

But this is a blog about creativity. And in light of all of the above - I have to force myself to be creative - I know it really is my saving grace and I know I have to keep at it, especially in isolation - it is my saving grace,

Have a look at these handmade journals in all sizes and styles - faux leather - they look like leather- but are actually made from paper bags. Brown paper bags- inked, coated with conditioner, yes hair conditioner and then coated with matte medium to illicit these beautiful paper specimens of faux leather look alikes. It’s a long process but worth the effort.

I am obsessed with this process now and it has resulted in good things;
