And the beat goes on ....
Okay so some of you may not remember the song in the title of this post but it did seemed fitting for those of you who do remember ) : . .. and for those of you who are not from that time I hope it lead you to this post anyway and I thank you for being here.
I have been busy, busy, busy and I hope you have been too.
I’ve finally gotten through all the prototypes of the journals I want to offer you! I have been working away with so many styles and closures and inserts.
To sew the inserts in or to use elastics?, to add a different inside cover or leave it raw?, to use standard sizes or make from the gut? are they sturdy enough or do they need more weight- these are all of the decisions I make before anything ever goes in to the shop. Not only that, but for any handmade product I design, I use it, handle it, and rough it up all to make sure they stand up to my test before I ever offer them to you.
I talked more about my handmade, “faux-leather” journals in my previous post, but you know how obsessed I get when I latch on to a new project.
Well, after much finagaling (yes that is a word) and playing about, I am finally getting close to being ready to offer these beautiful faux leather journals in the shop.
There is still some work to do. I need to wait for a sunny day and then photograph from many different angles. Then to edit and upload to the shop, and then to let you know they are there. Lots of steps when you are a 1 person business! But it is a labor of love of course.
In the meantime, I have been using my prototypes for journaling myself, to test them out as I mentioned above. I cannot tell you how much I love using these new journals, the soft feel of the cover, the fun and whimsical pockets in the inside covers and the fun ephemera to inspire which I will include in the pockets. I have been so inspired by these journals that I just cannot stop filling them with wonderfulness (another legit word). You may have seen some of these on my instagram but sharing here again.
I’ve also created some new flip through videos which are on youtube, but for my subscribers (thank you, thank you) I have included them here. These are all journal pages created in my new journals. Please do subscriber to my youtube channel too. I’m back on the horse and plan on posting many new videos there.
Enjoy the content here and subscribe to my youtube channel and follow me on instagram for shop updates! I thank you thank you so much for being here and continuing to read these posts to see what I am up to. Big, big kiss - mwahhhh!
