We are Open - Some Inspiration!

As we all hunker down in our homes, in this strange, new world we live in, I hope you are enjoying each other and finding things to do together.

I thought I would put together this post to give you some creative ideas of things to do while you are home and safe. Also, if you are prone to shopping online, it’s a great way to still feel connected. Online stores like mine are still packaging and shipping, so at home delivery is possible!.

Read on for links and inspiration:

Make something with pre-prepared patterns and tutorials

  • Ann Wood has a great site for making all sorts of things from dolls, to insects, to sailboats - and she provides patterns, including some free ones, for all these things.

  • I’ve had this diy on my list forever and I finally made this beautiful juju hat. If you don’t know what a juju hat is have a look at this tutorial

  • If you like making things with crepe paper, check out this great tutorial on how to make beautiful crepe paper mushrooms

Great online shops to peruse on etsy:

Online classes

If you haven’t done this before, try it now - a great way to learn a new skill. I’ve listed here some sites that offer free online classes so that you can try it out and see what it’s like,

On-line shopping for clothes:

  • I promise to get myself something from Mara Hoffman as soon as I win the lottery (but still worth window shopping)

  • Sundance is always fun to look at for jewelry and clothes

  • Miss June is a fun sight to inspire thoughts of summer

  • Anthropologie - do I even need to add this here! If you haven’t seen their store - have a look, but be warned, it’s tempting.

Stay safe, be kind to each other, and enjoy the list above for some creative ideas!
